When does the Summer 2020-2021 season start?

The Summer 2020-2021 season start dates are as follows: Tuesday games: 1 December 2020 Wednesday games: 2 December 2020 Saturday games: 5 December 2020 There will be three weeks of games in December, then a break for Christmas/New Year. For 2021, the dates are: Tuesday games: 2 February to 30 March 2021 Wednesday games: 27 January to 31 March 2021 Saturday games: 30 January to 27 March 2021

Will there be grading?

No. The season is too short to hold grading games.

Will there be semi or grand finals?

No. The top team of the grade will be declared champions and receive medallions on last round.

Why do I have to register on PlayHQ?

Basketball Victoria is implementing a new registration platform – PlayHQ, a system that is purpose built for basketball, by basketball. This system will be implemented across ALL Basketball Victoria sanctioned competitions, including all K&MDBA competitions. This means if you play junior, senior, rep or after school basketball, you only have to register once and it is valid for 12 months. PlayHQ will also be used as the scoring system at games. If a player is not registered on PlayHQ, they won't be allowed to play. For more information, please see https://basketballvictoria.com.au/registration/

If I register on PlayHQ, do I still need to register with Montrose Vikings?

Yes. The fees you pay to Montrose Vikings go towards paying for training venues, walkover/forfeit fees, Presentation Night and awards. To register with Montrose Vikings, please go to https://montrosevikings.org.au/registration/

I have multiple children who would like to play, can I get a discount?

Yes. Montrose Vikings offers a discount for multiple children registered. For Summer 2020-21 season, the fees are: Child 1: $52.50 Child 2: $47.50 Child 3 plus: $42.50 If a new player is under 8 and will be playing in the Miniball team, their first season fees will be waived.

Where do I get a uniform?

Uniforms are sold through the shop at Kilsyth Stadium in Liverpool Road. The shop is called The Locker Room - http://www.kilsythbasketball.com.au/store/.

How do I register on PlayHQ?

Each season you will be provided with a unique URL (web address) where you can register your players with Montrose Vikings. If you haven't already created an account on PlayHQ, you will need to do this first, then use this link to register your players, coach or team manager for the Summer 2020-21 season: https://www.playhq.com/basketball-victoria/register/a6d1cf

I no longer want to play basketball. Can I get a refund?

You will first need to contact Montrose Vikings via secretary@montrosevikings.org.au requesting a refund. This will then be escalated by Vikings to KMDBA who will then escalate it to Basketball Victoria. For any refund, please provide the following information:

- The player needs to have played fewer than 3 games

- A valid reason needs to be provided. Basketball Victoria requires confirmation in writing that the association and/or club has refunded any fees that were paid to them before considering the request for refund of the PlayHQ licence fee

- Bank details provided for an approved refund to be processed (Player Name, Account Number & BSB)
